BOCHK SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY INNOVATION PRIZE is hosted by Hong Kong Alliance of Technology and Innovation and sponsored by Bank of China (Hong Kong) Limited. The Advisory Board is the highest decision-making body of the prize, which is responsible for suggesting important scientific research fields that THE PRIZE may award; interpreting and enforcing the provisions of the Charter; appointing members of the Review Committee and Compliance Oversight Team; setting requirements on the nominators; and shouldering the duty of liaison and coordination between the Board, the Review Committee, the Compliance Oversight Team, and the sponsoring agencies. The Secretariat is operated by the Beijing-Hong Kong Academic Exchange Centre and shall be responsible for carrying out the decisions of the Board, the Review Committee, the Compliance Checking Team and the Secretariat; overseeing the evaluation process; holding interdisciplinary academic activities and science popularization activities; and providing administrative support.
This prize was established in memory of Professor Wang Gungwu, a former Vice-Chancellor of The University of Hong Kong, by his family and friends. The prize is awarded for exceptional research in the history of Hong Kong, and aims to promote the development of research in this area and foster collaboration among scholars and students from various disciplines.
The HK Film Awards are one of the most prestigious film prizes in Asia. The judging is carried out by a panel of judges consisting of industry professionals from all over the world. In addition to the main prize, there are several sub-prizes which recognise different achievements in filmmaking.
